Press Release For Immediate Publication September 23, 1998  Grove City Selects MetaMAP for GIS Lexington, Kentucky-The City of Grove City, Ohio has chosen a MetaMAP solution for a networked enterprise Geographic Information System (GIS). Grove City is planning to use the software for several applications including zoning, building permits, and tree inventory. The GIS data will reside on the city's server and applications will run on client machines throughout the city's network. Because of MetaMAP's efficient data structure and processing environment, a dedicated server is not needed to service their GIS needs. Grove City is utilizing the Franklin County, Ohio Auditor's base map, and is planning to add their own layers as well as linking their existing parcel database information. With MetaMAP's user-friendly installation and user interface, the system should be fully installed and operating within two weeks. Grove City is joining hundreds of other users in Franklin County which use MetaMAP's products to access their community's entire GIS database.
